The Fattoria dell’Orto degli Ulivi takes it’s name from its favorable position on the land that has enabled its long history of cultivating olives in ancient groves and vineyards. Stroll through the oak forests that surround the farm and you’ll discover footprints of the various animals that live here. You can admire the beautiful flowers of every season that enrich the land with their scents and colors.
At the center of the Fattoria dell’Orto degli Ulivi is a renovated farmhouse whose original construction dates back to the early 1200’s. We recently constructed the farm’s pool for the added pleasure and comfort of our guests who come in the summer.
Our isolated location and total immersion in nature provide a truly magical atmosphere. Our proximity to Florence and other Tuscan cities of Art allow you to choose from a full list of historic and artistic destinations.

… and for those who want to stay on the farm, the main house called ‘Il Casale’, is available for you with plenty of space and fine rooms. We offer you our hospitality and assistance with anything you need as we live in another house just meters away.
Il Casale, while respecting its lineage as a typical Tuscan country villa and house, is unique. It’s a villa with three floors and a total of about 450 square meters. On the ground floor you’ll find the kitchen, dining room, and the large living room with a wood-burning fireplace. On the upper floors you’ll find the 5 bedrooms: four of the bedrooms have a single double or queen size bed (matrimonial) and one bedroom has 2 separate twin beds. There are two bathrooms on the second floor and one bathroom on the ground floor. For entertainment there is an HD TV and DVD player for your use in the living room. The house decorations are very nice but antique and rustic, typical of a Tuscan villa in the 17th and 18th centuries. The house is embellished with artistic details and tapestries and alive with warm lighting that makes it even more cozy and welcoming.
The house remains cool in summer, even on the hottest days, thanks to its thick stone walls. For the winter months it has an efficient heating system, ensuring a comfortable stay in every season.
The large covered porch is used for parties and banquets and other structures on the farm are used as meeting and workshop spaces for agricultural activities and teaching.
The Fattoria dell’Orto degli Ulivi is nestled in 20 acres of land: 10 hectares of arable land and 10 hectares in the forest. The farm is surrounded by at least 800 olive trees and has the privilege of a very scenic location. You’ll be surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, oak forests and farm animals (sheep, ponies, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs and cats). In the heart of nature, but also only 5 minutes by car from nearby shops, bars and restaurants.
