THE CHILDREN’S HARVEST
September is harvest time and the farms are all planning for the grape harvest. But what do our children know about the harvest? Some of them may have seen how grapes are harvested in the fields, if they have a relative or friend who is a farmer, but few are likely to have had the opportunity to take part of the harvest themselves. And if there was a “Children’s Harvest”, wouldn’t it be fun to participate? On 25 May 2014, the Fattoria dell’Orto degli Ulivi will open its doors and welcomes you to the event “Barter on the Farm“. You can have your goods to barter on straw bales and towels for the olive harvest.
